Continued progress on Dragonflight - let's jump right into it.

Backerkit Items

We've shipped everything that's non-Dragonflight, non-Epic Legacy picked up as Add-Ons through Backerkit. We're replenishing our inventory of Epic Legacy books, which will be the next set of books to ship. For those who picked up books other than Dragonflight or Epic Legacy, you should see those within the next two weeks. Let us know if there are any issues!

Art Update - Class Miniatures First-Look

We've been coordinating with our modeler to develop the first-draft of the 3d models for the Dragonflight classes: Arcanist, Destroyer, and Imperator. Note that the images below are WIP - they lack detail in some areas, are not yet posed, and the heads for Arcanist and Destroyer are sized a *little* large (resolved on the WIP Imperator). That said, this should give a good representation of what to expect when they are finished: more along these lines.

For the Wyrm Triumvirate development, we are working with the High-Tier backers to develop these models shortly. We should have some progress on these by the next update, but probably won't have first-draft models to share at that time.

Project Status

We're making headway on all Dragonflight fronts, but the actual pen-to-paper writing has been light, as we've been focusing on design elements for the writing team. We'll be providing graphic representations of progress periodically (usually as we make measurably progress), similar to that below to give you an idea of where the project currently stands.

Writing: Includes all writing, revision, and copy editing.

Art: Includes ideation, drafting, revisions, and finals.

Formatting: includes style development, formatting for digital and print release(s), formatting for alternate versions and presentations

Fulfillment: Includes packing, inventory, collecting backer information, shipping, and validation.

Overall: Is an average of the previous categories. Note this is not emblematic of the remaining work, as time and effort required for writing and art often far exceeds that for formatting and fulfillment.

Next-Steps

Our next Kickstarter update will be published on or before Sunday, November 22.

This will include progress on art, and a project status update. If we are at a point where we can share a formatted Table of Content for the project, we'll share that at this time as well. Backerkit & Pre-Orders

Hello everyone! We are please to have finally launched the pledge manager Backerkit to both everyone here and those who weren't able to get in on the project. For those who have backed the project, you should have *just* received an email about your surveys. Filling out the surveys is a required step to getting your rewards! 

For those interested in pre-ordering the project, Dragonflight is now open for pre-orders!

 Backerkit Notes

A few notes on Backerkit - to head off any questions on these fronts. If you have questions not addressed here, please comment below!

Miniatures: We are working with the phenomenal modeler Alfonso Prieto (you can find his work here: https://www.artstation.com/alfonsoprieto) to develop the first three dragon minis for this project! He's working on the Arcanist, Destroyer, and Imperator minis based on the poses shown below (and in Backerkit).

However, we have not yet started development on the art for the other three miniatures. We'll be posting updates when we have information about the Wyrm Triumvirate (their art, models, and lore). These will be made available through Backerkit at that time.

Shipping & Fulfillment: We'll be shipping orders out as we have the inventory (rather than waiting to ship everything with the Dragonflight books when they are finished). For the items in Backerkit, you'll see a "Delivery" section in the item description. This is the estimated delivery date for the item based on its format.

Of note - PDFs are listed "Immediately", but there is a manual step required on the back end to enable that distribution. We will enable those soon after we lock the orders.

The Final Count Is.....

Hey everyone! We are amazingly thrilled to announce the conclusion of Dragonflight at a staggering $108,683. Wow. Suffice it to say, not only is this more than enough to make an incredible project, it's 2CGaming's most successful project to date! We cannot express our gratitude enough, so lets talk about next steps!

Next Steps (Please Read - Important Info!)

Our team is already working on the book, but the first major step taken by the project will be to set up our pledge manager: Backerkit! In about a month, each of you will receive an email at the address registered to your Kickstarter account, which will help you get set up in Backerkit. Once you are good to go there, you will be able to receive your rewards (when ready) as well as manage your pledge. This will allow you to adjust your pledge and pick up discounted 2CGaming products, and is essential to get your rewards. While the platform is user-friendly, please let us know if you have questions or need any help.

As this project has a stronger emphasis on miniatures than our previous projects, we will be leaving the backerkit open with payment uncharged until early 3d renders of the dragon minis are available. We'll be providing art-related updates regularly during this period.

Final Stretch Goal Unlocked! Deluxe Alt Cover and 2 Unique Dragons

Last But Not Least

With only a few days left in Dragonflight, we unlock our last awesome stretch goal. With the production of this stretch goal, two unique dragons join Dragonflight in the unique dragons chapter. With this content comes a gorgeous illustration to be featured on the Alt cover available to Deluxe copies and within all copy of Dragonflight. Behold!

 Those of you with Deluxe copies of Dragonflight, will have the opportunity to select which cover they would like on their copy after the Kickstarter - the standard illustration or the alternate here:

Final Few Days

Thanks to your support we have achieved our wildest dreams for developing Dragonflight. Any funding we make past this point will be used to polish, refine, and expedite development of the project. There is much to do and the state of the world introduces a lot of uncertainty, so every little bit helps us ensure things go according to plan! New Dragons Unleashed & Final Stretch Goal Listed

60k Reached! New Dragons Sighted

As Dragonflight crosses another amazing milestone, we are thrilled to include a special chapter showcasing 2CGaming original dragon species. This exciting section will include a new family of dragons, similar to Metallic, Chromatic, or Gem, along with an exploration of any unique dragons found amongst the to-be developed Wyrm Triumvirate. All dragons featured here will be mechanically complemented throughout Dragonflight, allowing you to both explore and play them as you would any "ordinary" dragon. Prepare for weird, unique, and powerful options to explore!

Hidden Stretch Goal Unlocked: Deluxe Alternative Cover!

We have been working on an astonishing piece of art to be included in Dragonflight, and its quality is so impressive as to make it a worthy cover alternative for the Deluxe copy of the book, featuring two dragons of astonishing power: Ankalyon the Eclipse and Astralyth, She Who Speaks. Additionally, both of these unique dragons will have their species supported throughout Dragonflight, and will feature predominately in the book's lore!

Should we attain this final milestone, you will be able to choose which version of the cover you'd like for your Deluxe copy via Backerkit, our post funding project management platform. Alternate covers always include additional costs in their production and fulfillment; this Stretch Goal target offsets that cost, and let us bring a Deluxe Alternate print option to Dragonflight. For those who aren't picking up the deluxe copy, fear not! This piece will still appear inside Dragonflight in a glorious two page spread.
